About Me
I was born and raised in Colombia. After graduating with a First Class degree in Physiotherapy I knew I wanted to study Neuroscience! I was fortunate enough to gain a prestigious scholarship that funded my Masters degree in Clinical Neuroscience at University College London. My love for research grew and I started working in The London Spinal Cord Injury Research Centre investigating techniques to improve bladder, bowel and sexual function. Following my research I continued to take part in the academia and have presented my work in numerous national and international meetings.
I have successfully consolidated a Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Clinic within the London Spinal Cord Injury Centre where I treat a wide range of men and women with complex pelvic dysfunction. My multi-disciplinary experience in pelvic dysfunction due to neurological injury and disease motivated me to extend my practice to the general population in the private sector.
I have a holistic and compassionate approach and I put everything into my practice. My clinical focus is the re-education, biofeedback and manipulation of the abdominal and pelvic floor musculature for men and women suffering from a wide range of conditions including bladder and chronic pelvic pain, idiopathic and neurogenic bladder dysfunction, urinary and/or faecal incontinence and ano-rectal and sexual dysfunction.
Outside of work, I love to practice Yoga and meditation which use and practice with my patients. I also enjoy cooking for family and friends but most of all, I cherish spending quality time with my daughter.
